Meet Wayne Meyer, an experienced Chief Executive (and now fractional CEO) with a demonstrated history of working with start-up, mid-sized and family owned businesses.
Born in South Africa, Wayne has significant background in accounting and finance. He initially utilized these skills to focus on taxation, business growth, and M&As for both private and public firms. Then, with word of his extensive abilities spreading, Wayne also established a training company for audit firm personnel.
Increasingly comfortable on the international stage, Wayne emigrated to Australia, where he became CEO of a publicly traded communications equipment supplier with operations in Australia, Canada, and the US. He leveraged all this experience into a 3 decades-long career in the retail automotive industry, with successes in San Diego and Mexico.
Staying focused in operations, strategic planning, finance, and marketing, Wayne continues having a positive impact on every assignment he touches. He brought this attention to detail to CRT in 2018 when, having retired from his CEO post in the automotive retail industry, he felt it was time to give back to less-developed businesses. “The chance to remain engaged in the San Diego business community was also quite compelling,” he notes.
“I enjoy the opportunity meet a steady stream of interesting people,” Wayne says. “I’m always learning new things about different industries, and recognize that my knowledge and experience can be invaluable to the right mentee.”
When he’s not seeking companies he can help get to the next level, Wayne splits his time between staying engaged in the retail automotive industry and touring the USA on a Harley.
“We’ve already traveled over 80,000 miles this way,” he reports.
